Biography

Nikoletta Hertsak (1998), born in Ukraine, attended the Dezyderiy Zador State Music College in the city of Uzhorod graduating with highest honors. In 2018 she moved to Italy to study at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Music, with maestro G. Fabbrini, where she graduated in 2022. In June 2024, she finished the two-year course at the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

Recent and upcoming engagements include: Norina in Don Pasquale at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino conducted by M° Daniele Gatti and at the Teatro dei Rinnovati in Siena for M° Gatti’s OperaLab project, Nella in Gianni Schicchi, Mozart’s Grand Mass in C minor K. 427, the role of Ida in Henze's Der Junge Lord at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, New Year's Concert at the Teatro Municipale di Piacenza conducted by Maestro Sesto Quatrini, Boccherini's Stabat Mater with the Orchestra Filarmonica Toscanini conducted by Maestro Onofri, Franz Joseph Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.

In December 2022, she debuted at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with the role of Tebaldo in Don Carlo conducted by Maestro Daniele Gatti and directed by Roberto Andò. In 2023 at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino she debuted the role of Elvira in L'italiana in Algeri, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana conducted by M° Lorenzo Fratini and the Queen of the Night in a reduction of Die Zauberflöte, the role of the Figura Allegorica at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi in the world premiere of Nicola Campogrande's De Bello Gallico under the baton of Giulio Prandi and directed by Tommaso Franchin. She sang Pergolesi's Stabat Mater for the XXIII Pergolesi Spontini Festival in Jesi and Rhodes, and for the OperaLab project and the Accademia Chigiana, excerpts from the roles of Gilda from Rigoletto and Nannetta from Falstaff at the Teatro dei Rinnovati in Siena.
